The Emoticon Project
With the 2012 TED conference coinciding with the North American launch of the Galaxy Note, Samsung wanted to develop a marketing initiative that combined TED's core value of "ideas worth spreading" with the Note's promise of a more personal, more powerful tool for expression. We came up with The Emoticon Project, asking six artists to create original works interpreting specific emoji, which were then auctioned for charity.
